ETERNAL SECURITY OF THE BELIEVER

You get saved by seeing yourself a lost Hell bound sinner and trusting Jesus Christ as your personal savior. You become 100% sure of having eternal life when you believe what God said in the AV. You can have a feeling when you start doing what God tells you to do.

If your absolute final authority is a King James Bible and you believe exactly what a verse says, in it's context "rightly divided" 2 Tim. 2:15, you shouldn't have any trouble with the doctrine of "Eternal Security".

A bible believer adjusts what he believes to meet the demands of what the text says, he doesn't change the verse with any Greek or Hebrew text, or use another translation or spiritualize the verse to go along with what he already believes.

Here are the rules that you must go by in bible study. If you fail to do so, you will surely run into contradictions.

Every verse in the Bible has three applications

1.Historical...this means the thing happened in history as the Bible said it happened, where it happened and how it happened.

2.Doctrinal...Every verse in the Bible is aimed at a specific person or race, for a specific reason, to teach a specific truth.

3.Inspirational...since all scripture is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness, every verse has a spiritual application, which can be used to correct or instruct people.

A. IF ETERNAL SECURITY IS NOT TRUE ..

1. Jesus Christ body would be deformed, mutilated or incomplete.

1 Cor 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

2. Jesus Christ would be a failure as an intercessor.

John 17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

Heb 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

3. The doctrine of justification would be a joke.

The definition of justification, "Remission of sin and absolution from guilt and punishment; an act of free grace by which God pardons the sinner and accepts him as righteous on account of the blood atonement of Jesus Christ."

Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Notice; there is no might, maybe or hope so, if you are justified by the blood of Jesus Christ you SHALL BE SAVED FROM WRATH!

4. Words in scripture would be meaningless.

*NOTE* THE FOLLOWING VERSES TEACH THAT ONCE A PERSON IS BIBLICALY SAVED, HE CANNOT LOSE HIS SALVATION.

1 Cor 2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

If you are trusting in something man can do to be saved, you are not biblically saved.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
According to John 3:36 and 5:24, if you believed on the Son, you already have "everlasting life", not maybe in the future, NOW.

John 6:28, 29 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Do you think that your works will help you out?

John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 10:27- 30 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 30 I and my Father are one.

Romans 4:5-8 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Romans 8:9-11 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Romans 8:29-31 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Romans 8:38, 39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 Cor 1:7,8 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: 8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Cor 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

2 Cor 4:14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.

2 Cor 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Gal 3:1-3 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
Gal 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Eph 1:12-14 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Eph 2:8,9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Eph 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Phil 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Phil 3:20,21 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: 21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Col 1:13,14 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

2 Tim 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

1 Pet 1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

A born again child of God cannot lose his salvation, however, he can lose his assurance, testamony, joy, rewards, health, life, and inheritance.

LOOK UP THE VERSES AND READ THEM IN THEIR CONTEXT, DO NOT TAKE MY WORD FOR ANYTHING.
